how do i diffrentiate this
y= (116-21x^2)/120
the book says - 7x/20
just wondering if you couls show me how to get this

well the 1/120 doesnt really make a difference.
take the division through the brackets so you have
y = 116/120 - 21x^2/120
then, differentiating the first term makes it disappear (since its still just a number).
the second term is -21/120 * x^2,
so differentiating gives 2*(-21/120) * x
and the fraction simplifies down to -7/20
so you get the answer
