A lifestyle choice

I watched a program not long ago about anorexia and how quite a few people believe that it's a 'lifestyle choice not an illness', and there are actually websites providing support for these people and giving them advice on how to get away with being dangerously underweight. This has made me so angry because anorexia is an illness! It's a mental illness, so even though the sufferer thinks they're fine they're clearly not. The thing that annoys me the most is that one of my close friends has been suffering from anorexia for almost a year now, and it's partly due to these websites that she had a relapse. I think it's stupid that people encourage this sort of behaviour when it's so easy to get trapped in it and it ruin your life.

Grr!

Just wondered what other people thought about this

I agree with you. They need mental (and physical) help.

Totally agree with what you said there, i think it's disgusting that theres things like this to encourage people to be seriously under-weight, when in reality it kills you.
