Same here.. I only got 3 A's and the rest B's (God I really wish I aquired this ambition to be a vet before so I would have actually put some effort into my GCSE's)Dont let your GCSE grades stop you, mine are far worse than yours but i'm determined not to let them stop me, maybe I'll have to work 10times harder to get them to notice me, but its worth it in the end.
But I really think I can get AAA at A Level if I work hard.. and have a maths tutor. Even if my Sixth Form Head didnt seem that convinced I would be able to study vet med... I can't see myself doing anything else. (Although I did want to be a lawyer for ages.. I always found English, History etc
easier, but the sciences more interesting)

I think it's hard to know which universities are more competitive as they all are looking for different things... my friend got into Bristol to study vet science but didn't even get an interview from Liverpool! I say just go for it... after all the worst thing that can happen is you get rejected and that's not goin to put you in any worse position.
