First date...

Have my first date with this guy next week. guessing we'll be going to the park as its warm atm which should be cool so we can get to know each other really well...thing is i havent been on a first date with anyone in ages, usually me and boyfs get together and then we're together so its easy - no uncomfortable first dates not knowing where its going etc. whereas here we're going on a date - its almost like a blind date

Thing is i dont know much about him nor he about me, we just mutually attracted each other and met when i was dating his friend - he thought i was a great girlf  What do we talk about?? his family isnt a good topic, and i just talk nonsense in uncomfortable silences...any advice at all, topics Anything!!...im just so nervous, he's amazing,
Bounce location as much as you can:

One hour visiting all sorts of cool places around town builds comfort way more than six hours picnicing/walking/boating/whatever in a park.

Have fun!
thats a well good suggestion feel the sunshine...OP good luck - i might steal that idea...hmmm

plus any convo topic suggestions?
If it's London, send me a PM/email and I'll rattle off a list of very cool, free places I take interesting women I've met.

With fascinating cool places, there's always enough stimuli to create conversation - you never need to worry about that.

Lici - go ahead

Cambridge unfortunately u cant help then. shame. thanks for the offer tho
You have to go punting! I competed in a rowing comp in Cambridge back in November and that was the most unexpectedly fun chilled-out thing we did.
There was also a wicked ghost tour, perfectly set in foggy November, so it may not be as interesting now...

Id love to...thing is he has no money so we cant...its so expensive..i love going punting but yeah....unfortunately thats out. we could sit by river...but then comes the whole convo prob again...plus i dont quite feel comfortable with myself sitting with my body in entire view - i know that sounds weird but yeah
For silly crazy fun: The Cambridge Corn Exchange - childishly fun + The Junction is a good place to round off a day.

http://www.wereallneighbours.co.uk/cambridge_events/list.php?cal_date=2006-4-24&month=4&year=2006 will tell you what's on during the week if you click the date.

Enjoy!
