K I'm on the combined pill. I'm due to take my last pill for this month tonight, however i really don't want to be on my period next week. If my period comes at an inappropriate time I usually just carry straight onto my next strip and don't have a break, and my doc said this is fine.
However, was wondering if you can carry your pill on to see you past the time when you dont wanna be on, then stop and have your period without finishing the packet. Then after the 7day break just finish that packet. I'm pretty sure my doc said this was ok but that was ages ago an I'm not sure.

no; its adviseable to finish your packet.
its fine to run packs together for large chunks of time. many women do it and its common and doesnt cause problems.

ok in my leaflet that comes with my pill it says
"You can take asmany pills from the next pack until you want you period to begin, stop taking the pills in the pack and your period will start a few days later. Start your next pack of pills in the normal way after your 7 day break"
so if i do go straight onto my second pack, then stop and have my 7day break, do i start a brand new pack, or finish the one iv taken some of?
