HAHA, yea i do, but i thought they could help a little. :frown: do some of the hard work for me
I love today's culture of "I want a machine that exercises me whilst I sit down". Lol.

Although kudos to you for working as well as wanting to use one of these.

No.
Life is a just employer. Put in a day's work, you get a day's pay.
They only work if you haven't got a layer of fat on top of the muscle, until that's been gotten rid of, the only thing you can really do is excercise. Cardio's best I think, sit ups and stuff are good for toning the muscle underneath, but until you can see the muscle you won't seem uch of a difference.
No they don't.

never used one of those before but I think they just heats up your muscles or something rather than helping you tone up. I suppose you can cheat and use them to heat your muscles up then go and do some crunches or sit ups.

One of my friends said that she knows someone that uses those to heat up her thighs and then go jogging as it would burn the fat quicker.

my friend had one and it gave her weird scars on her stomach, just little tiny dots, even tho she used loads of gel stuff. prob not worth the risk even if they were amazing

This is a great idea!

I stretch in front of a radiator before running, so always have a cramp-free easy run, with runners' high kicking-in quickly and great thighs and calves.

And if you want your bum and hips to get more toned, then scrunches, crunches, burpees and running with high knees are the way to go.

Singing and proper breathing - go speak to a professional singer/speaker - define your abs wonderfully well without the hard graft and gross effects of people who do too many sit ups.
my ex-boyfriend had one, but it lasted a few tries and then just broke. it's kinda painful on full intensity, feels like you're being repeatedly punched in the stomach (which makes it seem like it's working) but i really don't think they do. Just make your muscles twitch a lot!! good old hard work is the only way to go.

They don't really work even if you have exceedingly small amounts of fat.

Hey there Chel,

You have to lift your chest and keep it raised - imagine you're a puppet with strings at the top of your head and the centre of your chest, while your shoulders are relaxed, as you visibly breathe out by engaging your lower abs to push inwards as you exhale, the inhalation is then an automatic action. So you get the exercise by only doing half the work.
