Contact lense help

Basically I have 2 pairs of lenses to use untill june 10th when I have to go to my last optitians appointment. Iv had them since the 18th April. However one of the lenses just broke in my hand, so I opened a new one for the right eye - is it ok if I wear this every other day or something to make it last longer than 1 month?

Does your optician give you a replacement if you break it? I'm allowed to claim two spare lenses a year. Try that.

Im not buying it from them, I just got them for the first time, adn they gave me 2 free pairs as part of the whole contact lense appointment/conusltation process. AFter my next appointment im buying them myself.

Also im too far from my optitians as im at uni...

They'll know if you leave them in for much longer than you're supposed to. Are they monthlies? To be honest, I think you're best off wearing glasses til it's time to change to the second pair. It's not good for your eyes, and they're less likely to recommend contact lenses if you're already going against the times they've said to wear them for and you've not even bought any yet...
I'd wear glasses for a while, until you would normally be putting the second pair in. Your sight is one of the few things that is irreplaceable; don't do anything that might damage them.
Also, a friend of mine at uni got cystitis from wearing her lenses too long, due to the protein build-up. She had to wear glasses for at least three months, reccommended up to six for her eyes to recover.

Contact lenses, especially monthly ones, degrade even when just left in the container. So wearing them once every two days doesn't make them last any longer.
