P.E.P. Pills.

Basically, from what I've heard, these are legal replacements for Ecstasy. I have tried looking them up on the net, but I don't seem to have found anything too helpful.

So basically, I was wondering if anyones tried them? What are the dangers with them? For example, I know when taking an E thewhole "not too much water, not too little" but I've not heard anything like that about these. I also don't really understand how, if they're so similar to E's, these things are legal either.

I've bought some, and am considering trying them out. I've never ever taken any kind of illegal drug, I've always been a bit scared, becuase them being illegal and stuff. So these being legal...

Opinions??

I've heard they do the job, but are more similar to base than pills.

I'd say follow the same safety as you do for pills. Manage your water intake, have rests and just generally be careful.

P.E.P. pills (which are, interestingly, in the same chemical family as Viagra) aren't bad; they're nothing like as intense as the real thing, there is no sudden wave of euphoria. The effects are subtle, but noticeable; some people experience a little nausea. It's advisable to drink water, but not too much (sipping is best), and of course they shouldn't be taken with antidepressants or with alcohol (alcohol will enhance the diuretic effect, giving you an awful headache the next day). One of the big problems is that it can be very hard to sleep after taking them; I've known people to stay awake for a day or two after consumption.
Quoted from an online seller: "Ingredients:
Amino acid blend, Citrus Aurantium, vitamin B1, B5, B6, calcium ascorbate, Black Pepper extracts, piperine, piperazine blend."

Piperazine blend? Piperazine is used for treating threadworm

Quoted from the British National Formulary
"PIPERAZINE
Indications threadworm and roundworm infections

Cautions liver impairment (Appendix 2); renal impairment (Appendix 3); epilepsy; pregnancy (Appendix 4); packs on sale to the general public carry a warning to avoid in epilepsy, or in liver or kidney disease, and to seek medical advice in pregnancy; breast-feeding (Appendix 5)

Side-effects nausea, vomiting, colic, diarrhoea, allergic reactions including urticaria, bronchospasm, and rare reports of arthralgia, fever, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and angioedema; rarely dizziness, muscular incoordination (‘worm wobble'); drowsiness, nystagmus, vertigo, blurred vision, confusion and clonic contractions in patients with neurological or renal abnormalities"

Still fancy it?!

P.S. Yes, there will probably be some sympathetic stimulation to make it feel slightly speedy but the chemical structures are far cry from that of MDMA...I would highly doubt that they have a marked effect on serotonin.

The name piperazine is a little misleading. The members of the class used to treat parasites are piperazine hydrate and piperazine citrate; what'll you generally find in recreational drugs are BZP and TFMPP, which have effects broadly similar to dextroamphetamine. They act on both the serotonergic and dopaminergic receptors, which partly explains their ecstasy-like effects, though, admittedly, they pale in comparison to the real thing.

They do have a lot of side-effects however, and they've been linked (though not very convincingly) to one or two deaths; they're controlled in America and banned in Australia.

If you must take drugs, P.E.P. pills have the advantage of being relatively safe and 'controlled' after a fashion.
Ah you're right, found the original distributor's site and it does say it's BZP.
Although it is also used for treating tapeworm

I guess at least people know they're not getting anything unwanted in their pills, and I suppose if they're not as effective there might be less risk of the long-term annoying effects of MDMA.

EDIT: Huh...it also says 'flippiperazine...' Hmm...what!
