Garnier Summer Body- for those that are interested

Just bought this the other day and since a few people on here have been asking about various tanning moisturisers, just thought Id let you know how I got on with this one!

Only used it once but its given me a fantastic, even colour, no hint of orange or streaks/dodgy patches whatsoever. The consistency of it isnt too thick/greasy either so it wont leave your skin feeling clammy or greasy, unlike Johnsons. Ive had no breakouts of spots either from using it so its all good! Used it two days ago and the colour is still strong, reckon you could probably get away with using it 2-3 times a week to keep the colour. Oh and no yucky smell either so you dont need to worry about a weird smell after using it!

Cost me £4.99 from Superdrug but Sainsburys are currently doing BOGOF.

Ooh thanks, I need to get something like that to give me a bit of colour for my ball in a couple of weeks. Was put off Johnson's because my friend used it and turned out all streaky!

I've got Dove "summer glow" too which is good too, just an alternative! It does have a bit of a smell though so probs wouldn't get it again, the garnier one sounds good!

Thanks for that. I'm low on the Johnson's one at the moment, so I shall be ditching it for something else, possibly the Garnier.
OOh its good to know that Johnsons isnt very good as i was thinking about getting that! I might get some Garnier then as its my prom in 2 weeks and id quite like to be a bronzed colour!! thanks very much for the recommendation!

i dont really see the appeal with these tanning moisturisers, evry1 is jumping on the bandwagon with them. surely if you have to apply it a good few times a week then you're gonna get throught the bottle pretty quick, in which case I'd say fake tan is better cos its only once a week

My bottle has lasted 2 months actually. You can't really criticise something you haven't tried, and I don't see why it's a "band wagon" either.

You can use it as a moisturiser, so you save money not having to buy that. It's really good.

I can't afford really good actual fake tan, and I don't trust myself to apply it so that I don't end up looking like a streaky mess  so doing it gradually with these is great, and inexpensive too. I actually quite rate the Johnson's one, I bought it when on half price from Boots (not sure if thats still on or not?) and have been using it for about two weeks - definitely a difference, but then again I was very pale to start with
Might try the Garnier seeing as its on offer - and as I adore their moisturisers anyway, especially that Body Cocoon stuff, I will give it a go. Has anyone ever tried the facial tanning lotion of any brand? Is there any point buying it separately?

Does anybody know how I will tan if I put summer skin on before my holiday?

Oooh thanks, might try that one. I've been using the Johnson's one everyday for about 3 weeks and i'm only just noticing a very slight difference in colour, so want to try others to see if i get better results.

I don't trust just fake tan - have used it before and ended up with orange streaks lol.

i use the johnsons but i only noticed a difference when i used the darker skin version, the lighter one only makes a difference if u are very fair.im going to try the garnier summer body coz ive heard its really good. another thing to try with the johnsons is applying it morning and night. this produces results quicker if ur not noticing much.

It doesn't stop you tanning....its just tints the skin. It also doesn't mean you should skimp on normal sun protection. Just cos you look like you have a tan doesn't mean you skin is protected-I recommend you use an SPF 15 or above unless you wanna look like a lobster.
