Some people I know have already started....it depends what kind of pollen you're allergic to. Thankfully I haven't started yet

A little bit - sniffly and headachey, but it's bearable.

Had it really bad last weekend for 3 or 4 days. Red raw watery eyes, sneezing at least once every 5 minutes, blocked nose. Took some eyedrops then woke up the next day and it was all gone. Somebody said it might be tree pollen I had the reaction to.

My eeeeeyes! Yep hayfever is well and truely here for me, but I always get it March - October, so its kinda late for me to start

yepppp its hayfever season time, tbh u can get it throughout the year, but yea mines started to appear now, sneezing, eyes watery, itchy, all the usual symptoms, exams coming up though so not really the best of times......

Went and got a batch of medication from the dr's today. I wonder if that could have caused my burst capillaries...

Ive had no symptoms whatsoever yet and i normally suffer really badly- so im just hoping that this year it wont. New Era is quite good, its a homeopathic remedy for hayfever.

..Anyone getting the symptoms of this yet? the people ive spoken to have said that its too early for hayfever, but im sure i havnt got a cold!

my bf has symptoms already.. quite strong ones :frown:

I've got it I think for the first time in my life!

Had a cold for 1 month now, but they believe its a certain flower that has come about. It may well be an allergy on the outside, but I'm taking non-drowsy hayfever tablets. If I did have an allergy, these tablets would still be effective.

Tablet last 2-3 days and its back again :frown:

My eyes have started itching and i've had an itchy sore nose for a few days now so yup, it's here (though not so bad today because it's raining). Just bought my first load of eyedrops and nasal spray.

^ Your eyes itch when you have hayfever? Mines not itching at all. Just my nose and the 6 consecutive sneezes which I think is a record.

Reply 16

where'd you get the eyedrops from, helenia?

I think i've developed it for the first time ever... :bawling: probably due to where my room is & apparently silver birch at the moment can - so i'm guessing it's tree pollen.

eyes started getting itchy last week. & nose has been sore & had a few semi nose bleeds. but it's mostly the eyes have been the problem.

Boots didn't have any eye drops - so have been taking allergy syrup (am rubbish with pills  ) but a more direct anti-histamine would be better i guess? & possibly last longer than extortiante 70ml bottles of syrup...

Ah yes, a perennial problem for me too. Hasn't started yet but I suspect it will soon.

I got them from Boots (in Cambridge), maybe your local one just hasn't got its summer range out yet - ask behind the pharmacy counter and they should be able to help though; most hayfever drugs have to be kept behind the counter. It's cheaper for me to buy them than get them on prescription, but if you're under 19 and in education you can get it free with a prescription.

I use Boots Hayfever relief eyedrops, which are sodium cromoglycate, and Flixonase nasal spray, which is a corticosteroid rather than an anti-histamine, but it works quite well for me

nasal spray works best for me....for some reason it stops the eyes from itching
