he he he, wen i first went to live in student accomodation i did exactly the same thing... except i thought "wow! they even give u a lil tray to cook it on so i dont have to wash up that metal one in the sink!" i was gutted 12 minutes later when i took it out the oven lol, its best to learn the hard way.
Hmm, not sure. Post tomorrow to let us know if you're ok - then we'll know or not

Hehe I'm sure you'll be ok  fingers crossed, eh?

I've done that only once. Once was enough.
The base was all flappy and non-crispy making it taste rotten.

Chigago Town's new Pizza's To Go are great though.
They come in a pan which you shove in the oven, then you can keep it on that when it's cooked.
No need for plates.

But it's 3 pounds (on special offer at sainsbury's at 2 pound - staff discount = 1.70 at the moment - still too much)

ive done that before...i just peeled it off and ate the pizza!

my family always laugh at my awful cooking skills
Yeah, I did that once, thinking it was a little tray that you were supposed to cook it on...how very wrong I was. And just to make things worse, I burnt my hand trying to get it out, then late when I was scarping melted plastic off the inside of the pizza I accidently inhaled some of the very very caustic oven cleaner spray.

Not my lucky day.

I ate the pizza though.

You are meant to take the plastic bit off! Oh..... crap....

You're going to give birth to mutants:frown:
If you ate it then well . . . did it taste good ? I should try it sometime, seems like enough people have done already

Hang on...so...you're saying that before you went to University you'd never cooked a pizza before? You were 18, and had never cooked a pizza?

Is this correct? Or had you just never cooked a pizza with the plastic bit on the bottom?

Because that seriously surprises me.

So I bought a Sainsburys pizza and like a doofus I wasn't paying attention and left the polystyrene type base on the bottom of the pizza... It smelled a bit funny (not a lot) when I took it out of the oven but I ate it anyway.

Do you think this will poison me?

(It's the 2nd time I've done it, I can be a bit absent minded sometimes)

well I once put a pizza into the microwave while it was still in a vacuum plastic bag.. when I took it out it smelled QUITE A LOT...but I didn't eat it though

but wait, did you actually eat the polystyrene? I hope you didn't

I did not eat the polystyrene.

I have eaten much plastic in the past due to my proclivity for chewing pens. It has, as of this moment, not proved fatal.

Yes I've tasted ink (of both the fountain and biro species) many a time. Swallowed it too in fact. Maybe I should invest in chewing gum...

I tried that already (investing in chewing gum) but for some reason I can not chew it long enough and I swallow it  I would go bankrupt if I had to buy so much chewing gum but even before that would happen my stomach would get stuck.. so no.. I'll better stay with pens and face the possibility of tasting the horrible ink again
