Oooh 23 - 16 is a bit of a gap.

It could work out if:

- She's VERY mature for her age,

- You're very immature for your age

- She's quite mature for her age and you're a bit immature for your age.

Other than that, you're going to run into a lot of problems. I seem to remember a lot of girls taking relatively "silly" things very seriously - and that could get a bit much.

Either way - she could be worth a poke for bragging rights. Heh.

There’s a 16 year old girl where I work who I know really likes me, I don’t know what to do tho as I am 23 and not sure if it would work out because of her age. Anyone ever been in this position before?

Thanks

Not really but all I can say is at 16 you can't even take her to the pub for a beer! Think about it!

Get to know her, and if she and you "click" then go for it.

When I was 16 I dated someone who was 22. We got along really well when it was just us but his friends always thought it was weird that he would date someone so much younger. As long as ur totally okay with it, itll work out

I was 16, relationship with 26 was fantastic but quite difficult due to different responsibilities and how different they were...but i know a few relationships that do work with your gap

I'm 23 and wouldn't even consider it. But thats just me.

You could always give it a go and actually find out first hand if it would work. Much better than being huddled against a monitor reading the opinions of random internet people with random internet opinions. We can point out the pitfalls, but we ain't fortune tellers

She is very mature for a 16 years old, but that’s when she is at work, for some reason 16 year old girls really like me. She’s not the only 1 lol. My mates would be cool with it.

You will have to be careful about her parents. If you do go out with her, they might not like the age gap.

Any reason why?

God, i'm 19 and my boyfriends 24 and his mates call him cradle snatcher. Just think when you were in year 7, she was in reception. When you did your GCSE's, she was still in primary school.

get to know her, and if you like her, then go for it. But dont pressure her into anything

She liked me when she was 15, but there was no way I was going to get involved then. :frown:

That was in the past though, if you look at it like that then when she is 21 he will be 28 which isn't that bad really.

There are quite a few reasons but I'll mention one. The fact that I only bother with a relationship when I can see a future and as a 16yr old will go through different tastes in people I would assume that there would be no future.

Dunno if that made sense will look again tomorrow
