ermph, well im doing this for one of my orals and i intend to use:
technical language
range of tenses inc. pluperfect, conditional perfect, future perfect, subjunctive.
opinions.
indirect obj pro
can you fit in a PDO?

i know they are pretty obv but i cant think of what else you'd want. and this is even more blatant but write with and argument/purpose. although your writing to show your french skill you also have to say something worthwhile

any help??

The main thing that our teacher has done is tell us to do an essay plan, to give lots of reaction and response to ALL sections of the essay, and to stick to the question. As for material to help you write the essay, you could check out the French government's section for environment or the news...

Our teacher also gave out lots of summaries for all the different topics - try and ask your teacher if (s)he has similar summaries... Previous booklets for the exam could be useful and get your teacher to put how you could improve your essay - rather than just marking it (my French teacher just marks it but for German she gives me suggestions for how I could improve on "essay technique" or grammar).
