Hello,

Thank you for your question.

Students who are studying the University of London External Programme can apply to enter our three year LLB degree directly in the second year. If your application is successful you will be made a conditional offer of achieving 50% or more from your 4 first year modules.

When making our decisions we also look closely at your pre Diploma academic profile and the quality of your personal statement and academic reference. Students who have completed the first year of the External LLB cannot apply for the first year of the LLB at Queen Mary.

All applications are made through UCAS. Candidates applying for year two should put a 2 in the point of entry section. Candidates can apply as deferred entry but you are required to meet any conditions within the same academic year.

Many thanks,

James

Thank you for your response, would the Diploma act as an alternative to A- Levels or the IB? And would you suggest me applying for direct entry into the second year or first year, where you I stand a better chance of admission? Thank you.

Your whole academic profile would be examined, so the Diploma would be considered in addition to any other qualifications you have.

You would only be able to enter the second year of the course as entry to year one is not allowed using this diploma - the reason being that you would have covered the syllabus already.
