PH measures hydrogen ion concentration and can be calculated using the formula: pH = -log10[H+]

pOH is a measure of hydroxide ion concentration and can be calculated using the furmula: pOH = -log10[OH-]

I believe 1M HCl is highly acidic with a PH of zero (0), and with a pOH of 14.
