I just found out from someone, that apparently, B'ham does single sex flats, despite what you put on the accomedation. Is this true?

I would'nt want to be stuck with a group of just guys for another year, especially coming out of a single sex school!

Flats are single sex, blocks and halls are mixed. Get over it, it's done to reduce the likelihood of rape and over-dominance by one sex etc. Would you be comfortable if you were a woman and the last lot of flats to be processed, and you ended up being the only woman in a flat with 5 other men? I sure wouldn't...

well....

Only joking of course. I wouldn't like it either and neither would my boyfriend!

There's no need to worry anyway, it doesn't mean you can't have girls in your flat, the chances are you'll just be across the way from them and as long as you get on can be in and out of each others rooms as you like...

anyway, why would you want to be with smelly girls? :p: hehe

We need a girl so badly in our rented house. Girls have an ability to keep things tidy and make things presentable in a way that our "stick everything in the nearest cupboard so no one can see it" method fails...
Its fine. Here in TC i'm in a male flat but i practically live upstaires with the girls as the guys across the hall do... the girls are literally 6 secs away!
I live in ashcroft and I'm always in the flats downstairs which are all boys, I often crash in one of their beds when drunk, I borrow their cds and music, I'm moving in with three of them next year - there is absolutely no problem having single sex flats, we are all free to walk into each others flats when we're bored or want something; and there is definately benefits to it - especially the mess, both the flats downstairs have failed their inspections twice whereas ours have passed. Its up to you whether you want to just hang around with you're sex but stop complaining about the single sex flats coz its up to you to make the most of mixed blocks, its completely you're own fault if you don't mix with the other sex
