Ok, was listening to an oldish song, so the guy sings:

"Ive had the rest of you, now i want the best of you"

So i started thinking... what does that mean? like does he mean he has the girl as a freind and wants the physical side of her? or are they like **** buddies :eek:

and he wants the emotional side?

I know this is really stupid and like a "who cares" kinda topic, but it would give me alot of insight into how guys think... :wink:

I mean what do guys REALLY want from a girl??? Whats considered the BEST of her...?

so if ur a guy and u were singing this song, what would u mean by those words???

If it's an oldish song, then probs isnt being that sexually explicit? Might be saying, "i've had your flirtation, now i want the REAL you."

i think that even if he knws her sexually bfr, or not, he wants to knw her more intimitly as in not sexual sense. so either way if they r actually **** bodies he thinks its time they got intimate, and if they werent well he thought they should get to knw each other better emotionally.... maybe next step after that might be sex.... never knw hehe

I know where that lyric came from....It's from All or Nothing by O-Town. lol I recognized it because once upon a time, it used to be my favourite song. but I'm not going to answer the primary question. I'll let the guys answer that. :biggrin:

If I was singing this i would say that it would be more about being friends with someone but wanting to move it more into an actual relationship. ive had the resst of you, meaning i know who you are and that you are a really cool person, now i want the best of you meaning the best bit about you is the love you can offere me, so gimme it!

I would've thought they've had an average relationship until now, and now he wants it all. I don't think it necessarily means they're fock buddies, lots of people are guarded in a relationship til you meet the right person, or feel comfortable enough to let your guard down

I heard a similar old song about i guy who loved a girl that went 'now you've got the best of me, come on and take the rest of me' I think the best is the emotional, love kind of stuff and the rest is whatever you want it be. Friendship, companionship, even sex.

Oh yea! It is O-town, kinda forgot who sang it... :O

OK im glad most ppl say its about wanting more of the love and emotional side, yea he does go on to say "is it all or are we just friends?" so i guess they are freinds and he wants more love and the real her, not just a physical relationship... yea it would be wierd if he was hinting at sex- or maybe im deluded coz of the guys im meeting lately...
