everyoine is talking about realtionships starting when they get wasted at a party - where do these parties take place ? it cant be pubs so is it just in the halls of residence?

also how many people finish first year without having had a gf (as a percentage)

Yes in the dorms or in the college bars or whatever whenever.
I suppose it about 50%ish its not a big deal just be yourself don't worry about it and it will happen. Guys that go around lookin for it rarely end up with anyone.

I think party is probably a fairly loose definition - my college bar has party nights, there are society dinners and stuff in hall or at restaurants/bars which people get wasted at, then people just have their own room/flat parties for birthdays etc. All sorts of different events.

I have no idea about a percentage, it really would be too hard to tell. Would depend on if you count those who started uni in a relationship and then broke up (which a lot do) etc.

Here the parties are occasionally in the halls but more often in the houses of older students who live out. Time in halls is spent tanking up for the next venue, be it the SU or just a regular bar.
