How to appeal to st georges about decision ?

I got rejected from st georges medical school and only found out recently that i could make an appeal. Their website states that...

Our first selection process is to consider academic results. We consider the following when we decide who to invite for interview:
•The range and standard of your GCSE examinations. Using the following scale A*\A=3, B=2, C=1, you should have at least 25 points including at least grade B in GCSE English Language (or 80% at grade A where less GCSE subjects have been taken).
•Predictions of ABBb (or ABBa as appropriate), if following the new A/AS levels curricula, for examinations being taken for the first time.
•Three A grade passes (or predictions) if A levels are retaken. These grades should be obtained at the second attempt.

Any applicant who has the all the requirements listed above, will automatically be called for interview. Candidates not offering GCSE and A level qualifications or lower achievements than those mentioned will be considered on their merits paying particular attention to the points covered below.

Now after reviewing my current qualifications and predicted grades i have easily met those requirements. I therefore feel the need to appeal the decision made because i was not given an interview ! yet it clearly states on their website that i should have got an interview.
I have visited their website to look for information on who i can contact but all i find at this link

http://www.sgul.ac.uk/index.cfm?E87DA2C7-D016-77D0-DA2C-CE4C8C12582D

is Some applicants may feel that their application or enquiry has not been given due consideration. If you would like to make an appeal against a decision you should write to the relevant Admissions Tutor (see "Contact for Further Information" at the end of each course entry).

I dont understand what is written in bold in the above quote. I have searched their websiteand cant seem to find information about emailing or contacting admissions tutors can someoneplease help me in this matter in who i should contact and what exactly i should say in the letter. Thanks in advance

They're old interview qualification guidelines - are they still accessable through the SGUL website, or did you google to them?

St Georges hasn't been a ABB uni since 2004 entry...

And page 66 for their typical offer...

But Fluffy's uptodate link says:

"Applicants who are predicted AABb to BBCb will be considered for interview." (bullet point 5, page 34)

not

"...will automatically be called for interview."

So don't think you've got much to say in the letter about this, unfortunately. Talking about ABBb predictions & the 'new A/AS levels curricula' makes that website info you found seem quite old? Not that everyone who did AS levels when they were spanking new is old, only the people who did old A levels..

That'll be the bit!

I haven't seen St Georges guarentee interviews since 2003 entry, that's why I personally double checked...

Tempting to dig out a prospectus from 1995 - they might take CCC grades then

Hmmm...When I phoned last year when I was thinking about applying to SGUL, they spoke about guarunteed interviews and they have stuck to the flow chart in the 2k6 entry prospectus...saying if you meet AL and GCSE reqs, 'you will be called for interview'. There are a few people who have been rejected w/o int'w and appealed and have been successful in securing an interview...so I guess its still the done thing at SGUL. My advice; write a letter or e-mail Micki Regan.

I know a fair few people who have been rejected with AAA predictions and mostly A's at GCSE this year... The flow chart is in the prospectus I posted.

I was rejected from SGUL when I applied, despite meeting the guarenteed interview criteria for graduates, I did call them to question it as the reason cited in my rejection letter was clearly wrong, andthey did offer me an interview which I rejected as I had already got the offer I wanted.

Appealing is always a good idea, but make sure you're looking at the right criteria (comment aimed at the OP!) before doing so, not the entry requirements from 4 years ago
the prospectus i have upstairs for 2005 entry says they guarantee interviews for people who meet the academic criteria. i was tempted to apply there solely on that basis, however, i did not. i wasn't that interested in them in the end and therefore never requested a 2006 prospectus. but i remember that guarantee well!!!

Im not sure if they did that gurantee thing this year to be honest. All i heard was how totally swamped they were this year, and i heard about that mainly in the form of this years really high interview offer mark, so i suppose that mightened neccesary rule out the guarantee, but my point is you could understand why they wouldn't do it this year. Appeal anyway though, what have you to lose.

good detective work there.
some selective reading on the OP behalf methinks.
