yes have been out with a fair few guys who do this. the trick is to coax them out of it. "manly men" can be soooo childish like that and then they wonder why we think they are stupid.
i'll admit i'm like that in fact i have done it today, because at the minute life sucks, but again not going to bore you fine people with my problems, but yeah i do it because my gf has enough problems already and she doesnt need to be carrying my burden, your bf may just be trying to protect you, who knows

You dont always need to know whats wrong. Sometimes my boyfriend does it if it's something he knows I won't understand and it's a bit private I just let him get on with it and we end up gigglin like children for the rest of the day!

does anyone else find when their boyfriend has ANY negative feelings, they refuse to talk about it and start blanking you completely, whether you've done something wrong or not? i know mine does! and its so depressing!!

Suggestion:

LEAVE HIM ALONE.

If im not talking to someone, theres nothing worse then them bugging me to tell them whats up.

Give the guy a break.

There is nothing worse to do than force it out of him and then its something he did not want to tell u in the first place and u did not want to know either. It will just make u feel bad for asking and him pissed off that he told u.
Just say if you do wana tell me you know you always can. If he want to he will if not forget about it.

when I do that its because I wanna deal with it on my own, and with certain girls if you bring it up, it'll only end up in an argument and more stress.
I do that but because I have this thing that I can take on everything and anything, and don't want to burden her. But then the strop thing comes in when I want attention. I wont deny it lol.
ah yes male sulks.
we certainly act like spoilt children when we strop

leave him to it youl annoy to hell if you bug him to tell u whats wrong

You thought women were the only ones who menstruate?

my bf doesn't sulk, i'm the one who sulks and goes silent, he just SNAPS and gets really titchy and snappy, which in turn makes me more silent and more sulky...it's a perpetual cycle!
I havent done that except as a responce to my ex gf being passive aggressive, but that usually ended up with niether of us talking for a day. If a girl was supportive I would tell her everything, but I used to find my gf could be judgemental and critical about certain things so I learned to steer clear of those topics.

Women can be more immature in some cases what you describe vis-à-vis your boyfriend is very similar to what usually happened between me and my girlfriend except it was the other way round. She would be passive-aggressive then when she didn’t get her way she would sulk, and then she would coming running back to me apologising after I had left her alone for long enough. :p:

That is a bit of an unprovoked generalisation don't you think?
just ignore him, it's not worth him getting all pissed and moody if you approach him...

oh yeah my ex was like that. it was usually just him on his own quietly at first...then he'll grab my leg and pull me between his and just hug together on the floor in silence..
