    I need some advice please:

I am doing AS Level French. I know all the grammar (subjunctives, future perfect etc) but I am struggling with my writing. I got an A* for GCSE. My teacher simply says that I am not imaginative enough and I don't think simply enough which I do not agree with.

In your opinion, how can I improve my writing as I want to get an A grade.

    Thanks

GO WILD!!! I do when I'm asked to write in French, often I'll just start writing a short story or essay as if the question had been in English and pretend that I know French just as well as is hardly the case. I often get too ambitious and my French teacher may not understand whole sentences but he gives me good grades coz he says my ideas are good... It might work for you too, try something new, write a short description of a mythical creature or make up a sticky situation, experiment, pretend it's creative writing and forget it has to be in French.

Thanks for your advice. Like you, I am over-ambitious with my writing! I'll try your technique next time we are set an essay.

    Thanks!
