I thnk the idea of women proposing to men is untraditional in the sence that she has nothing to offer! It's silly perhaps but I've always thought it was the mans job!

lol i dontt think its a mans job as such but i think my bf mite be a littel offended if i took over and asked him. he would probly take it as an attack on his manhood
LOL offer a ring. Watch that episode of Friends where Monica proposes to Chandler and then he decides to take over cos it's "the man's job" :P I personally wouldn't propose to my boyfriend (if he existed) :P

traditionally, i believe you should be offering him a sheep or cow...

you don't need to "offer" anything, though i see nothing wrong with a ring or a piece of jewellery he might like..

If a guy proposes to a girl often a ring is involved. Now if a girl proposes to a guy what sort of gift could be "offered" along with it? A friend intends to propose to her bf on his birthday but is unsure about what to "offer" so to speak. Any suggestions?

As there isn't really tradition anyway it really doesn't matter too much. Tell her to get him something she thinks he will like. What that would be we obviously can't know. Alternatively she could just take him out somewhere nice.
Offer your ring piece. Alles klar.
wait till he proposes to you

As a bloke I've always considered it the man's job to propose. It's weird when a woman proposes to her bloke, it's not normal!
blowjob is a must

Ho! Original and witty!
A ring is a symbol of binding yourself to someone, so it is appropriate for both a guy and a girl to give, but if not that, then anything with the same sort of symbolism, from a chain or something, to a pair of handcuffs, they could all show the same thing lol...
I don't think it should be the man's job to propose. I think that proposing should be something that either could do. I wouldn't take it as an insult if a woman proposed to me.

Maybe not a ring, but just ask him!! A ring doesn't have to be given there and then!!

Soory, but I've got to agree on this one. I mean, good for her and everything but you won't catch me on one knee!
Never mind tradition. A ring is good whether offered by a man or woman.
