Philip Allan - 1 Day Revision Conference

Hi,
Has anyone been to any of there conferences? Is it worth the time and Money. What did you do in that day? I am considering going to AS Chemistry and PE.
What are your opinions.

i use phillip allan books and they are what have got me thru mu AS year! i checked out the link and the revision conferences and i wud go to 1 if i was u. i wud of gone if they did sociology for ocr or ICT for ocr or Psychology for ed excel but they dont so i cant..

I thought the 1 day conferences were for all the Exam Boards. The dont specify the exam board, all they say is "AS Physical Education, One-Day Revision Conference"

I went to the 2005 AS biology one, and most of it was a waste of time... but they did show you how to best answer exam questions.

I imagine that if you're not an 'A' student, they'd be more helpful :smile:

EDIT: Oh, and you get a neat little booket with the notes in!

I suppose they're much more helpful to people who are aiming for a C or a B, than people at the top end who are going for every mark they can.

Nevertheless, our history teacher wants to send us to an intensive history revision weekend next year, so maybe there will be some (probably not a lot) of benefit in going. :s-smilie:

there was a biology revision day today for F211 (AS Unit 1). Wasn't able to make it today. Just asking that if anyone went it on, can they be so kind as to post up the notes they gave out on the day, and if they would recommend it. [mod edit: email adresses can't be posted on the forums]
