Figure being too small?

Im 21 and never worn a short top (which shows the stomach) because im embarrased about my figure, people complain about being overweight but Id say its a lot better than being tiny at 21! Basically im 7 stone, 5 ft in height, my hips are 29 inch and waist 24 inch. Ive always thought Id look really tiny and stupid in something like a short top and get embarrased when wearing skinny t shirts cause my figure is just so small. Ive always worn size 8 and size 10 things but you cant see my figure at all is this abnormal lol? Could it be a main reason why Ive never appealed to guys do you think? I know this sounds stupid just asking for opinions.

The reason you may not appeal to guys (even though I'm sure many find you appealing) could be a lack of confidence. You need to be proud of what youv'e got and flaunt it. Your tiny waist is enviable and loads of blokes like a toned, flat stomach. So if you're not confident wearing short tops, wear long ones and cinch your waist with a belt. Wear high heels or wedges if you're not too confident about your height!!!

You don't need to show flesh for guys to become attracted to you. :hugs:

Have you tried wearing children's clothing? I'm not being rude, but I've found that they can help show off your figure :smile:

Plus they're a lot cheaper.

Your probably right, thanks for the advice I guess being tiny doesn't fit well with my personality (if that makes sense) since im into sports etc and honestly people think I look about 14 lol.

As for wearing kids clothes they might be too small :p:

I wear children's clothes, mainly tops (partly because I'm a cheap skate, lol) and I'm 5'5 and I have a 26 inch waist. There are actually some really nice children's clothes available... I'll stop going on about children's clothes, lol, I sound obsessed, lol.

As the previous poster mentioned, you just need to try and build your confidence :smile:

I know it's easier said than done...

lol I have to buy kids sports wear (or age 11) nothing else fits, I think with other clothes though petite is the only option really.

As for guys feeling manly, I think they would feel strange with me esp since I look 14/15 in fact thats probably what puts them off!

To be honest I would feel weird dating a girl who looked really young but I suppose as long as you both know her age it doesn't matter. Its nothing to do with the figure really though guys dont mind.

Hey hey hey what are you talking about not getting any guys!?!?
I'm only 5ft 1" and 25"waist and still i get lots of attention from guys! (to my bf's dismay....) Its all about confidence baby! :biggrin:

Don't let your height get you down! Although it is really frustrating when you can't reach something at the top shelf and have to ask someone else to fetch it for you....
But think about it, you still got the sweet and cute factor and someguys like that! :smile:

Girl. Please. Just like what u got. I could stand to gain some weight, but whatever...i havent had too many guys complain. Besides, I got ways of making myself look thicker in all the right places :rolleyes:

Actually that's a good point; I have a 23" waist and 30" hips at the moment and have been finding that my wardrobe of size 8's and 10's aren't that flattering - I never pick up 6's because I always assume they won't fit. Also because my bottom half is bigger so I get confused :redface:

OP: Your figure isn't 'too small', I bet you look great! I think being short is fun, you get to shop in the petite sections, you're free to wear heels of any size, etc. & having a small waist is a good thing :smile:

It sounds more like you might have a problem with self esteem (something I'm trying to get over at the moment). Just try to think more positively about yourself, maybe guys pay attention to you and you just don't notice!

I'm tiny too but I wouldn't be any other way, I like being small. I wear kids clothes too if they fit and are nice (some shops have a very strange idea of what people are like- somethings i don't think could fit anybody). I'm not that keen on still finding it hard to pass for 13 at times, but it does have advantages as i can get in but pay less. (lol I don't care about screwing London transport they charge enough as it is :mad:

I'm 5ft 8 and bought a kid's skirt from New Look the other day!! It;s like age 13 or something, and I'm a size 8-10. Honestly the kid's clothes are really nice and trendy and stuff, nothing to be ashamed about wearing and saves you loads of money!
I know some really tiny girls, a couple under 5ft and they always seem to have guys flocking round them because they like to feel they're protecting a girl. Tiny girls are so cute and delicate too, trust me I'm quite tall and although it's nice sometimes, tiny people always look really sweet to me!
