1) Dont have a baldy..we need cmabridge folks inout here.

2) EMS = Extramural Studies, aka work experience/slave labour. It is a compulsory part of the vet course in the uk. You must do 12 weeks pre-clinical EMS - lambing, dairy farm, poultry, pigs, horses etc.
Then in the clinical part of the course you must do a further 26 weeks EMS on clinical placements in practice.
This is how it is at Glasgow and as far as I am aware it is the same throughout all of the vet schools.
The weeks may be distributed slightly different depedning on the vet school, but either way you have to do a total of 38 weeks, outside of the course during holidays.
