Mixing antibiotics with alcohol

Is this a dangerous thing to do? I'm on antibiotics atm (amoxycillin) and have got a party tomorrow..I'm not planning on drinking but I just want to know what the effects would be if I did accidentally! (as in, got bought a drink :wink:

)

yes at worse you can die......
not realy, it depends on the type etc, but it most likely make you very ill. to be on the safe side dont drink. read the little leaflet thing you got in them it probly tells you on there somewhere

my best friend did it on a trip to germany...she threw up for 2 hours - didnt know where the stuff was coming from - really scary stuff!

You'l probably be sick as a dog if you go overboard. try googling it for more info - some anti-biotics allow yout o drink alcohol but some will make you ill if you do.

When I was on antibiotics for cystitis I got quite drunk. I didn't get drunk any quicker than usual or get ill or anything. I think it depends on the type of antibiotics, I Googled everything I could think of back when I had cystitis and got a couple of lists of some of the more dangerous antibiotics to mix with alcohol, so try Google.
