The Student Room Group

Last few months...

Here's the thing - the guy I've had a huge crush on for a year now is in my orchestra which tours every year. We're going to Spain in July, for 10 days. Now I've pretty much accepted nothing's going happen between us, and am slowly getting over him.

Thing is, whenever he's around (seeing as we're pretty good mates) I still wonder to myself if there's a possibility something might happen - silly I know. My worry is, as it's most of my friends' last year with the orchestra (not mine) I'm worried that all of tour I'll be distracted and thinking about him etc etc. I really just want to have a great tour with my friends, without panicking every time he's around. Any tips on getting over this?

Did you tell him how you feel... if not how do you know nothing will happen?

Didn't tell him, but I just know...he doesn't see me that way.

ok...i'd be inclined to trust my instincts on this one too, so i believe you.

Avoid him as much as humanly possible...i know that doesn't sound very nice, but it's the best way, really:smile:

you've had the crush for a year, nothing has happened so look to yourself and say its over, he is boring, find someone who feels the same towards you.

These goddamn music-y types eh? :p:
Being in a similar situation to you I just have leant to put it outta my head. If we're doing something together, having fun, etc and I suddenly think
'what if...' I just immediately brush the thought away and start chatting to someone around me/distracting myself and just forcing yourself not to think about it.
