Yeah, you're pretty much the same age, just happen to be in different years.

Go for it girl!!!

My girlfriend is 3 weeks older than me.. maybe it's too much?!?

Where's the problem? You're both 18!

Reply 5

4-5 years tends to be the hmm okayish age gap i think, 6 months is nothing to be worried too much about.

I have a question for all you guys out there... I'm 18 1/2 and a college freshman... and the guy I like is 18 and a high school senior... would you date an older girl?

Well you're American. Things are totally different there with respect to age gaps and dating. You're not going to get an informed answer on here.

10 year gap between my parents.
Fancied a boy two years younger than me.
No problem.

My LTR history is solely older girls. Although not "older girls" like Wayne Rooney picks them, I've gone no higher than 27 - they tend to have their lives together.

I think that I will... I want varied opinions, and there are people from all over the world on this site...

Yes the gap is small... but he has a girlfriend... and that is one thing I will not be, a relationship wrecker...the funny thing, was he liked me and I didn't like him... and now he has a girlfriend and I changed my mind...

Yes.

If I liked her personality and fancied her, then I don't see why not.

Reply 11

Yes I would, age doesn't matter too much to me, its more about the person.

Reply 12

Thankx for all the opinions...

Typical woman thing: the 'wanting what you can't have' syndrome. Observations aside: I don't see why the question you're asking even arises; the fact that it has, suggests to me that there's a greater pattern of girls going for older guys, in the USA, than there is here, because an age difference of six months or so seems trivial in the extreme. I lost my virginity to a 35-year-old woman, and have only slept with older women than myself, and I'm not at all perturbed as to this fact. I'd personally, ideally, however, go for women up to 'only' ten years older than myself, and would imagine, say, that five years was a more realistic estimate as to what most people would see as within the boundaries of being ideal.

My advice would be to go for it, but I'm a little confused as to what you expect to happen, being as he has a girlfriend. Chances are his relationship will end, at some point, though; by which time, arguably, the age difference will be of even less significance. Probably best not to think too much about it, though, but if you ever have a chance with a guy a little bit younger for you, don't hold back....

my girlfriends got that but she usually gets what she want and rinses my bank account...

Typical woman thing, again.

eugh...whatever..date him...u guys are the same age...you act like the age gap is 17 yrs...all too familiar

Reply 17

That age gap is so completely trivial that it's completely pointless to think about it. Do you expect the guy that you date to be born on the same hour of the same day as you to ensure that the prospective guy wouldn't be put of by dating an younger/older girl?

Reply 18

Well, the reason I asked was that I liked another guy a year younger than me... and the age gap freaked him out for some reason... I wanted to get other opinions before I tanked another friendship... and yes there is alot of younger girls/ older guys in america for some reason...
