what to get!!

well it is my sisters 16th birthday in about a week and a half, thing is, she is going to college in setpember saem time i go to uni, but college where u stay there in the week, and so my mum is givine us both "going away kits" for our birthdays this yr, including stuff like duvets, covers, towels, plates, and everything esle like that we will need for going away from home, so my sister is not exactly going to have a very interesting birthday with that, because it is all boring stuff, so i want to get her some nice stuff she can open on her birthday, i was thinking maybe a pretty windcharm or a nice photo frame with a pic of me and my mum in it that she can take with her, but i cant find any nice windcharms around, and im a bit stuck for other ideas

i want her to have a nice birthday so if anyone has any other good ideas i would be really grateful!!

Make her a collage of photos and any little bits and pieces that will bring back memories for her. She can take it with her when she goes to college and it will be more personal than anything you can buy in the shops.

yeh that soudns good, but i want to get her somethign else, something nice as well, im not really sure what tho, just somethign ncie for her to open and be able to "enjoy" as such

Obviously you could get the conventional jewellery/perfume/make-up things, but maybe you want something different... you could also make her a cd of her favorite songs, unless she downloads music herself...

or else you could DO something, for example plan a surprise. It could be a treasure hunt, where she goes from place to place and finds little clues, leading to the ultimate "something" (e.g. a restaurant where all her friends are waiting to surprise her?). that could take a while to plan though. then again, you've got a week and a bit.
or else get her something really random and quirky, like a voodoo set to fend off any idiots who try to approach her in college, or then some kind of bizarre/random board game she can enjoy with her college friends during the week.
or! if you're feeling artsy, you could buy a white shirt and either get an image printed on it (she could wear it as a pj or a shirt), or then draw/stitch something on it...

how about a nice locket, where shed be able to put a picture of you and your mum in?
it sounds a bit cringe worthy, but my best friend gave me a silver locket with a picture of us in. not only is it fashionable, its also sentimental.

You could go out for a nice meal or something, spend some time together and that. It would be good for both of you.
