    I'd have to agree by saying Attlee as well. Even though I'd associate my political views with libertarianism, I admire how he set up the original welfare state with great aims, the NHS which provides a fundamental human right,I believe, to healthcare while other countries make a profit from this! Also because he began the process of dismantling the Empire with the independence of India and scaling down the armed forces to bring about an end to Imperialism. Great guy even though he was a socialist
    I don't know to what extent he was responsible for independence, but whoever was made a damn mess off it which still has reverberations to this day.

    Each contributed to some kind of downfall or step-back in society. Disraeli was good in his opportunism and expansion, but nowadays, PM's main goals are to do anything to gain power over their rivals, so all are as bad as each other I guess.

    Attlee, purely because his administration did so much to help the country and the people within it. Definitely one of the few decent politicians there has ever been
