I don't see why not. They're not vegetables in theory but I like to think they are.

:hmmmm: They're not really vegetables though are they? Mushrooms are fungi, so probably don't count.

I would just say yes, I don’t think your body actually can tell the difference or even count up your 5 a day so I think its safe the fool it this time and get away with it :biggrin:

I've only ever had them on pizza and in spaghetti sauce. :p: And raw.

yea chicken and mushroom pies :biggrin: i put all sorts on burgers when i make them, maybe its just me :smile:
I don't know about counting towards your five a day but I do know that by writing 'regular ones' you cut the number of people that will open this thread drastically :P

I doubt I've ever had a 'pie' in my life. :biggrin: Not even sure what a pie looks like if you don't mean cake.
And I imagine they can taste quite well on burgers actually so go you!

yay :bunny::biggrin: well pies are about the most succesful thing to ever come out of leicester so there a loads :biggrin: (that and crsips:p: ) you realy need to find a pie and eat it :p: lol

The NHS website certainly classes mushrooms as vegetables...:rolleyes: but probably only in the nutritional sense
