    What do you mean by solve? Do you need to find the roots? (also does x3 mean x cubed?)

    let me take a wild guess your looking for the gradient in y=3x+2 to simply find that it is in the form y=mx+c where M is the gradient. If this is your question, and m is an integer in this scenario what is m from your equation...

    What level is this at? If it's find the gradient from this equation and it's 3x as opposed to x^3 then the gradient is 3 as what you have is an equation in the form y=mx+c where m is the gradient. However if that's the case then it's conventional to write the coefficient of x which is 3 in this case, before the x as opposed to after.
