I went at the beginning of August. (close enough to July!) The weather was good. It rained a couple of times but I was pretty lucky.

As you probably know already, Thailand is a tropical climate, so it is hot and humid (VERY HUMID) all year round (average 85degrees year round). The seasons in this part of the world are dictated by how WET it gets, rather than a change in temperature.

I have. It is very hot. The beaches will burn you.

The night is incredibly uncomfortable and mosquitoes seem to hunt me down. I went for a month, see family over there and just for a holiday.

I went in August, and the weather was really good. I could be completely wrong with this, but I'm pretty sure it depends which part of Thailand you are in. I think the high-season in Phuket is opposite to Koh Phagnan.

I remember Phuket had a couple of really rainy hours where the ground was flooded, but it was back to being really hot afterwards.

Koh Phagnan and surrounding islands were hot all through.
