Help with osmotic potential vs water potential

Hi,

Having difficulty understanding the relationship between osmotic potential, osmotic pressure and water potential.

I understand that osmotic pressure is the force with which water is pulled through a semi-permeable membrane. i.e. a hypertonic solution as a high osmotic pressure as water is pulled towards it at an increased rate.

An area of high osmotic pressure has a low osmotic potential however i presumed that an area of high osmotic pressure would also have a low water potential?

But apparently water potential and osmotic potential are opposite to one another?

If anyone could point out where Im going wrong I would be grateful.
