Okay that game turned out a hell of a lot better than i expected.

20 - Wayne Rooney has now scored or assisted 20 goals in 20 PL appearances for Man Utd this season.

27 - Robin van Persie has now scored or assisted 27 goals in 28 Premier League appearances for Man Utd. Value.

3 - Shinji Kagawa is the first player from Asia to score a Premier League hat-trick. Landmark.

    Also

0 - Norwich are the first team since Blackburn at Spurs last season to not record a single shot (excl. blocked) in a PL game. Barren.

Rooneys been poor, Valencia slows everything down way too much, Anderson can't pass, Smalling adds nothing to attacks, Norwich completely parking the bus, not good.
:facepalm2: even before his 2 assists and 1 goal, he was still playing good....

... why do you even post, go study.

No he wasn't, his first half was largely just misplaced passes over and over, he was average if not poor. He wasn't 'good'

Carrick, Kagawa and Rooney all had excellent games. Rooney's cameo leading the line when RVP went off was a reminder of how things very nearly were this season, with Kagawa being very influential behind him. While those two started okay and grew into it Carrick was exceptional throughout, just a standard performance from him against the smaller teams, completely bossed it.

Overall a decent first half, terrible start to the second but a great end to it. Our league campaign has been absolutely outstanding, dismantling City and everyone else so far, gotta keep it up against Reading and Sunderland though because April's a tricky month.

So so excited for Madrid. Can't work out team selection, from selection/performance today I think there are 8 certainties with questions over who partners Rio (probably Evans) and which 2 from Jones/Giggs/Cleverley/Welbeck/Valencia/Nani make up the midfield with Carrick, Rooney and Kagawa. Really hope Jones makes it, can't see a decent Ronaldo plan without him.

"Giggs will be involved on Tuesday. "

You have to hope he means the bench.

    Nope i don't.

He's done well so far this season, obviously, but you have Kagawa who deserves to play after today and suites the passing style better than Giggs, you have Welbeck who has proven he can do the job, and you have Nani who i'd rather play on the right v RM but still.

He is probably a better option off the bench than Young or Valencia should we be chasing the game, though.

He obviously will. Fergie is too loyal. He wasn't even on the bench today, he's getting kept. Both Giggs and Scholes will start.

    Teams will probably be:

De Gea; Rafael, Rio, Vidic, Evra; Nani, Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa; Rooney, van Persie

Lopez; Arbeloa, Ramos, Varane, Coentrao; Khedira, Alonso; Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo; Benzema

    Prediction: 1-2
