So I was at work the other day and my ear lobe went BRIGHT red and was really itchy. I thought nothing of it.

Today it is swollen and it is MASSIVE. It also has little blister things on it. I went to the pharmacy as I thought I'd just burnt it with my hair straighteners and thought I could get a little cream - they told me I need to go to the doctor for antibiotics...

My problem is, I've just got home (As I was at Bluewater when I went to the pharmacy) and the doctors is closed. They don't re-open until at least Wednesday. My ear is hot, red, extremely itchy and has it's own pulse! Does anyone know of ANYTHING I can put on it to at least stop the itching? It's driving me absolutely insane

As above, find info for an out of hours GP or a walk in doctor that is open.

You could take ibuprofen to deal with the swelling and discomfort in the meantime. Do you have a piercing? Could be that thats got infected. Bathe it in some hot salt water. 1/4 tsp salt to 250ml boiled water Dip a clean flannel or cotton wool and hold it either side. Even if its not a piercing, the heat should help it drain.

However, if you think its a burn, use just cold water instead
