I bought alcohol aged 18, and paid for it. Then, after I'd sat down, I was asked for ID and I didn't have any on me (I'm useless at things like that). Then they took it away from me. Just took the alcohol I'd paid for away and didn't given me a refund.
Anyone else find this weird? I always get ID'd for alcohol and Wetherspoons staff always ID me and then I pay for my drink.

****ing Wetherspoons ID you even if you aren't having alcohol. They'll let you pay for a meal first, of course, then kick you out.

They once IDed me for a bloody curry! And a glass of lemonade and a desert because it was after 7pm.

Did you not have your purse on you? you should have your ID on you at all times if you're drinking alcohol to avoid irritating situations like this.
