    Tried out squats with shoes and belt. Think it probably did more harm than good atm as it felt a bit alien. Hopefully will get better over the next few sessions. Didn't bother recording the squat top set as lots of people were in the way of my recording spot lol. Just have a warmup of 150kg as I wanted to check my depth as they felt high although in reality they seemed way below parallel!

    Felt tired after squatting though and it seemed to make benching and deadlifting feel hard although camera shows bar speed was very good.

    Awesome day. Everything felt good esp deadlifts as it seems the belt adds at least 6kg to e1rm. Was a pretty easy set. Didn't record it though as there were loads of people around me when I was doing it so not really that many spots to place camera unless I ask someone (screw that!).

    Wtf today was BS. Dunno what happened on that 5th rep. Reps were going fine and then boom couldn't lock it out Probably looking like a right **** in the gym now xD.

    Dunno why I'm not recovering that well for bench. Perhaps it is due to the 4x/week frequency but I've done it before and with much more work. Guess I'll just play it by ear for another couple weeks. Thinking of changing it up a bit and doing pin press instead of pause bench.

    Woo I learnt how to use the belt to help my squat. Weights felt really good as you can see from the vid and the fact that I was just adding weight . I put a '?' next to the PBs as it beats my squat without a belt but I don't yet know what my best squat with a belt is so I guess today is a start.

    Going for gold next week and gonna try 202.5 for singles which will meet my personal target of a 200kg squat

    hmm felt like I only had 1 rep left in the tank for bench tbh. Despite quite low volume compared to what I normally do these 3 weeks haven't been that productive in getting recovered!

    Not bad day. Was hoping deadlifting would be a bit better but it wasn't too bad. Think I ate too much before going to the gym as the belt made me feel a bit nauseous lol. 227.5*2's next week though.

    Pause Squat is stronger too. Squat has gone pretty well over the past few weeks.

    Pin Press needs a bit of work but it wasn't too bad. Main mistake was not setting up the safety bars correctly lol

    Best e1rm before I added belt and shoes was 207 and after 3 weeks it's now 219. So assuming no strength increase in my beltless squat I've gotten 12kg. I guess 7-9kg is more realistic though if I don't assume that my beltless hasn't gained anything.

    Heavy singles yesterday, 6 reps today :cool:

    But more importantly why does my bench still suck :mad:

    Think I might take more drastic measures and go back to 2x/week frequency and maybe not even think about adding weight. Just trying to stick to 7 RPE instead.

    If only I wasn't doomed to my body liking lower body all day erryday

    I might start push pressing instead of inclining sometime though. But by then I'll probably be back at Uni and they don't allow cameras in their gym despite people getting away with it :/

    According to the guy who told me off after I tried to use one, It's apparently something to do with people filming in the gym and posting them online and people getting upset about it. I guess it's some kind of soft cyber bullying thing. Sounds kind of stupid to me.
