I'm 5'3 7.5 stone and I want to improve my fitness levels and generally be more healthy.

I'm all new to 'serious' exercise- the last regular exercise I did was pe lessons.

Would a mix of cycling, swimming and running, alongside healthy eating result in me loosing weight and gaining muscle definition? I would plan to do an hour per day of one of the above. Why sort of intensity should I be trying to do?- can anyone give me some targets such as a number of lengths?

Any comment really appreciated- sorry I'm so bad at conveying what I mean!!

It would definitely help you lose weight. In terms of muscle definition, I know running and cycling will help with your legs, but I'm not sure about swimming. It might also be worth doing some other stuff on top of those exercises to work your whole body. Things like push ups, dips, planks and sit ups.
