Actually due to oversubscription, and so many candidates having top grades and great work experience etc, universities are looking more at GCSE's than they used to. I said that on the assumption that Mohammed2004 would have the right A Level predictions and other factors.(Original post by Vulpes)
Not true. Many medical schools place little or no emphasis on GCSEs. Most of them place more emphasis on A level predictions and other factors in the appliation.
Also it depends how you define 'ok' as it's subjective. If someone thinks ok means D's, then that isn't good enough for medicine and should be an indication that they are not likely to achieve A*'s at A Level without a lot of extra work.
