Does the fact I'm saving it as an image have something to do with it? I'm not sure how to save it and retain the animated feature
Perhaps. If you still can't get it to work, crop the image width to less that 100px so that the image size will be under 50kb.

You should be able to do that within photoshop. Quite a few tutorials out there such as: http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/tu...photoshop-cs4/

Don't use new enough version to just output in web mode, tutorials online are all for way past my version (7.0)

I can get it saved and animated, but when I upload to TSR it stops being animated? Does TSR auto compress if it's marginally over or something?

Possibly. Have you tried uploading to an image sharing site like Photobucket?

Trying it, but remote file is currently too large and is already faded to make it smaller. Just going to try and size it down some

Kills the animation, only used Ocean Ripple effect to make it.

When I size it down, TSR just tells me upload failed

Edit: Gave up, only way to get the file animated is to lower it to under 35x35 pixels, which just looks silly
