I am really REALLY pleased for Portsmouth. This is an excellent day... the only thing that might have made it better would be seeing the disgusting Aston Villa get relegated...

I know this sounds odd in a portsmouth thread, but how well or not are soton doing?! are they set to return to the premier league?! hopefully not! reason i ask this is because i don't follow that league at all..

I believe s*uthampton are actually closer to relegation than they are to promotion.
unfortuantly relegation has already been sorted in the championship, so we can't rejoice in their relegation again. oh well, theres always next year!

Yeh well done to portsmouth, i went away to fratton park this season, great place to go (apart from the fact that its far away and the away end is not covered) but the home support is fantastic, created a really good atmosphere. If i'm honest, 1-2 months ago i thought you were gone but your last 3 weeks of football has been great to watch.

Yeh, the away end is pretty crap, but there are a few away seats under the roofs on each side.. The Atmosphere at a pompey game is amazing, even if they lose, pompey fans are very loud, and thats an amazing atmosphere!! Pompey John (westwood) banging on his drum.... what a LEGEND!!

John Westwood generally doesn't bang the drum - he has the bugle which many people mistake for a trumpet.
Considering the nature of bugles, he actually plays it suprisingly well. People think he's crap though because they're under the misapprehension that it is a trumpet (bugles can only play so many notes whereas trumpets can play all notes).
Btw I'm willing to lose 5-0 in return for Morientes
i read in the sun today that harry's gonna make a bid for heskey... why would we want that donkey?
