ETA? They usually get blamed for terrorism in Spain.

apparently, they do not fit a typical ETA profile, they usually phone a warning, etc. ETA have apparently issued a statement saying that it wasnt responsible, and are blaiming it on arab groups.

It makes you wonder what kind of people would do this.

My sincerest condolences to the families of the people killed and those who were injured.

This must be the biggest act of terroism in living memory in Europe, the IRA didn't even do anything on this scale, there must be a lot of freightened people in Madrid now.

I think this will have major repercussions on ETA now, if they did it, much like 9/11 had on Al-Queda(sp)

A woman living across Atocha found the door of one of the metro wagons in her living room. Luckily she was in one of the other rooms helping the kids get dressed and no one was injured.

Why do the press continue to refer to ETA as 'separatists' and not terrorists?

It is terrible what has happened today. I'm sure I'm not the only person whose thoughts are with the families of victims and the victims themselves.
