Feel a bit let down by friend... Watch

Hi, don't know what I'm hoping to get out of posting on here - just venting I guess

So I've been friends with this girl for a couple of years, we met at college and I would say she is one of my best friends. We were planning for me to go down to hers last weekend to go out but she text me a couple of days before saying that she had a lot of work to do the next day so the night out wouldn't be too good, I was a bit gutted but thought 'that's fine' and we said we'd rearrange it for later in the year when no work is on for either of us.

I have since been told that she planned to stay in the town she went out in (not her hometown), she told a mutual friend this and said she didn't know what to do RE: me being there. So I feel as though she just didn't want me to actually be there at all? So it was easier for her to stay somewhere overnight...

Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? If any of this even makes sense!
