For about two days I've had this real bruisy feeling around the side of my neck, shoulder blade and bicep, though there is no signs of bruises. I find it hard to lift my arm, and it feels like my muscles are 'stiff'. I can't recall hurting myself. I should probably note I'm a type 1 diabetic, so I sometimes inject in that bicep - I haven't had this sensation before though.

    Any thoughts?

I have a similar feeling, except instead of my bicep the pain goes up to my ear. And the pain is due to pressure build up in my ear.

As your ear doesn't hurt then this info was prob irrelevant.
However, I have had something else that sounds like your condition and i think it's just where i had slept funnily.
What i find helps is Tiger Balm, or a warm /hot compress on the affected areas.
If it carries on then go to the doctor because you may have hurt yourself without realising it.
