Michu for me, for that amount of money, he is by far the bargain of the season. Best purchase I've seen for a while. RVP second and Mata third for me.

Three way tie at the top i can't separate the 3. RVP has scored a lot of goals and some very important ones as well. Suarez is putting the team on his back and Michu for having such an amazing first season in the Premier league.

Mata and Fellaini follow behind these three.

I actually think it's between RvP and Michu.

Suarez has been great, and Liverpool would definitely be far worse off without him, but consider that Suarez has taken 40-50 more shots than RvP only to get one goal less. RvP is a lot more clinical - and it's not exactly like he's been scoring tap ins this season. Michu has a similar conversion rate to RvP too.

RvP also has 6 assists, and is the only player in the EPL to rank in the top 5 for both goals and assists (RvP is actually joint second for assists and top for goals).

I voted for Michu because he's doing this for Swansea, which I think is rather extraordinary. And because he is undoubtedly buy of the season.... But that's probably just my Arsenal bias coming in because, to be completely honest, RvP has probably been player of the season so far.
I don't think the assists is a fair thing to use against Suarez. Suarez creates a lot of chances, but the players around him struggle to score, I don't tink the same can be said for RvP. Half of his assists probably come from corners as well.

I don't understand how anyone, outside of the football-hipster "I know more than you" type, could vote for anyone but Michu, RVP or Suarez. Nobody else in the league has came close to them in the opening half of the season.

Fans that seem to think they can't vote for anyone but players on their own team. You can see that pretty much every vote for Cazorla and Mata have been from Arsenal and Chelsea fans

I think Suarez. Yeah I might be biased but Van Persie doesn't have the same all round gameplay as him.
Ye, i think you are biased.

Michu has been a goal-machine since arriving at Swansea, the transfer of the summer. A bargain, only costing 2m from a low Spanish team and he's just on fire.

RVP, so far he's scored against Chelsea and got the winner against Southampton and City. Suarez hasn't impacted the toughest games for Liverpool like RVP has for United.
A lot of Liverpool's 'tough' games are coming in the next month, man united chelsea spurs etc, so we will see if Suarez has an impact

Michu, hasnt played in the league before, has about the same stats as Van Persie and Suarez while playing in a team, which promoted 2-3 years ago and no star players like Rooney or Gerrard behind his back.

Juan Mata's right up there tbh, why does it have to be all about goals? Even if it is, his figures (7 goals and 8 assists) are excellent and his all round play this season has been amazing, really stepped it up. Chelsea have dropped points in all 5 of the games he hasn't started this season which is telling of his influence this season. I'm not saying he's the player of the season so far, but he deserves to be talked about along with RVP, Suarez and Michu.

I'd probably go with RVP myself based on his all round play, which has been stunning, and what he's brought to the team. But behind him those 3 are well deserving of the plaudits too.

Amazed that Cazorla's getting votes. Had a good spell when he first signed, during his honeymoon period. 3 goals against Reading really flatter him though. He's been largely average, which for a World Cup and European championship winner is disappointing. On the evidence of the season so far, it's hard to believe he was the best player in Spain outside of Messi and Ronaldo.

*******s. He's had 3/4 bad games, along with the rest of the team, but otherwise he's been excellent and often sensational. Even last week against Newcastle he was very impressive. Have you been even watching him?

Yep. Very impressive against Newcastle? You've got to be kidding. Take those blinkers off. His worst game was probably the last one against southampton and it served as a reminder that he doesn't deserve to be up there with the other names so far this season. Maybe it will be different at the end of the season, but not on current evidence.

I'd give him an 8/10 for that game. There were better players on the pitch but he still did the business. I don't think hes even close to player of the season, but he's been one of the best midfielders in the country for sure.

RVP has scored winning goals against Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool. So definitely a big game player, and for me has been best player of the league, however Suarez and Michu have been amazing but just not as good.
