    In order of preference;

    Chrome
    Firefox
    IE

I used to have a strong preference but they've all come along a lot recently and I think now they're all much of a muchness really. I do find it refreshing though that on new Windows computers they have to give you a choice of browser instead of forcing IE on you.

    IE8
I know it depends on the what version of windows you are using but if you can do us developers a favour and atleast upgrade to the latest version of IE. IE8 does not support media queries which tailors the structure of the content on the page based on your window size. I would'nt consider IE8 to be that buggy compared to IE6 and 7 but there is extremely limited to support for HTML5 and CSS3. Speed differences aside, you are essentially getting the bare bones layout on all the modern websites out there now.

Used to use firefox, until it got annoying.
Opera users FTW I know it's not very popular, but I like it the most.

I used to love Firefox more than anything, but I switched to Chrome recently, mainly because it's faster and less cluttered.

They both have their benefits. Firefox used to win for the sheer number of apps available, but Chrome has closed the gap a little, so the switch was relatively painless.

Also, Chrome has the best HTML5 support of the main browsers, which I like because HTML5 is awesome.

But basically, I'm happy to use anything except IE. IE is the incarnation of Satan, and I only ever use it once on any computer: To download a different browser.

Just randomly, as the titles say - what's your favorite browser? I'd say Firefox because you can personalize it with a nice banner at the top. Here are the main browsers I can think of off the top of my head:

    Firefox
    Internet Explorer
    Google Chrome
    Safari
Chrome all the way. Smart interface, fast, cool add-ons. What more could you ask for? I only open Chrome once per week. I only re-start Windows once per week. You got it? 100% reliability.

Awful lot of self-satisfied IE fans in here. "You haven't tried it" Yes, yes I have, both 9 and 10. It's the only browser which dramatically slows down my experience on a PC, it has no extensions, and completely overdoes it with constant warnings. Also, it use the risky ActiveX plugin which is well known for its lack of security.

Now, tell us again how "there's no difference" between browsers. I really don't like Firefox but it, Chrome and Opera are much better than any of the other main options.

I don't always use IE but when I do, I download another browser.

Firefox is the best, Chrome is fast and very good, but I don't trust it due to the constant crashes, would never buy anything online through it.
