Does anyone know if students are allowed to lease a car/who can they do it with? I currently have a car and pay for the insurance and petrol and then the maintenance that comes with a new car but I was looking at leasing one and it came out cheaper. Its cheaper to insure, more fuel efficient and won't have unexpected costs because of warranty so all in all it comes out slightly cheaper. I have a summer/holiday job so can prove a bit of income but would it be enough for a lease company?

if you already have a car, it wont be cheaper to lease one surely?

I started leasing one in november (i'm 22) and didn't have any trouble with finance application, currently costs me £253pcm for 3 years, initial deposit of just over £750. The lease is excluding maintenance/services but do get the warranty, however the warranty is very particular about what it covers.

I really wouldn't bother. Getting a car on finance is pretty stupid - you will get royally shafted.
