# Lottery Question watch

1. In the national lottery lotto, what is the minimum number of tickets you would have to buy to guarantee a win of £10 (you win £10 if you match three numbers)?
2. My first inclination is 49C3 divided by 6C3

But they pick 6 too don't they

Hmmmmmm
3. So, the odds are 1 in 56.7

But buying 57 does not guarantee

Buying 9212 would ... But I know it is lower than that
4. Has anyone had any further thoughts?
