Just read over some article about "designer babies" and how the technology will probably be created before 2030. That is around the time when our generation will be expected to have children. Has anyone else thought about this and if they would choose to have one or not? I probably wouldn't. But it's hard to predict what situation I would be in or how successful it is. It may be that they only decide to make the baby immune to cancers and diseases rather than adapt its actual features. What's your opinion on "designer babies"?

I don't think I'd want to engineer and play God with my child. However, with something like reducing risks for cancer, or some sort of disease... and any sort of risks and complications were extremely low, then maybe I would be pushed to it. But something as superficial as their features? No thanks. I'd accept and love my children without needing to "fix" them first before they're even born.

Only for reducing the risk of cancer and other conditions.
